Varun Ajjarapu is the Co-Founder of Thunder Rock Capital, where he advises growth-stage and publicly traded companies on strategic capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, reverse mergers, SPACs, PIPE financings, and public market positioning. With experience spanning approximately $2.0 billion in aggregate transaction value, Varun has worked across sectors including technology, healthcare, media, digital assets, and consumer industries, partnering closely with founders, executives, and institutional investors to execute transformative growth initiatives. Prior to co-founding Thunder Rock Capital, Varun worked at D. Boral Capital, where he participated in multiple capital markets transactions with a focus on M&A advisory, IPOs, follow-on offerings, and reverse takeovers. Known for combining technical financial expertise with creative problem-solving, he has developed a strong reputation for transaction origination, investor relations, valuation analysis, capital raising, and strategic advisory execution. Varun earned his master’s degree in business Analytics from Cornell University. He was also a member of the basketball team at Penn State University and attended the United States Coast Guard Academy. He holds FINRA Series 7, 79, and 63 licenses and brings a disciplined, high-performance mindset to finance, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
